This cache is located close to the City hall and the Church of the Village of Stotzheim. To find it, should be easy.
Stotzheim is a village with many flowers, authentically rural and very picturesque, with the Muhlbach river running through it. The origin of the name of Stotzheim seems to be derived from the word "storze" which means the stump of a tree. And the coat of arms of the village displays three tree trunks with shortened branches. Mentioned for the first time in 783, Stotzheim became the possession of the bishop of Strasbourg in 1314. The village was looted in 1944 by the Armagnacs and then again by the swedish during the Thirty Years War. The church which was destroyed by a fire was reconstructed in 1765. Located on a plain, Stotzheim has more than 50 agricultural sites. This small agricultural village is specialized in the cultivating of the herb Nicot, and holds the second place for the production of tobacco in Alsace. There are two castles located at the village limits: The Grünstein (13th century) and the residence of the Andlau family (18th century). Unfortunately, neither of the castles can be visited by the public.
